Thanks so much for the introduction to Toby - I've met the coolest people here! I downloaded his app, and I'll give that a try in addition to my daily TPH meditations for a while. I'm really in searching mode at the moment, and feeling like every voice I hear has something important to teach me. At the point where my substacks/app subscriptions/dana outpace my living expenses, I might need to actually focus a little bit... ;-)
For Tasha's gift of gentle framing of Buddhism as a kind of language to describe experience.
For Jeff's loving description of becoming so immersed within Story, that it's giving me a bit of insight into why I may be recieving the lessons within books I've read in print previously ( 'The Science of Enlightenment', 'When Things Fall Apart', and currently listening to Thich Nhat Hanh's 'Fear') are becoming so much more tangible and meaningful for me in the Audible/ listening format.
And Toby. Thank you for becoming the human form I can now associate with the Brightmind app. I struggle with connection to all of the apps, as they tend to enhance the feeling of separation for me, instead of diminishing it. And thank you for the snacks!
Hi Carmen, I am the face! Though some people insist that I really just exist in their headphones, I am in fact a human : ) FYI - Brightmind is more than just the guided audios in the app. As I mentioned on the pod, we gather for retreats, have a community chat, sit together everyday, and I do a lot of one-on-one coaching. So check it out if you're interested. Cheers
2nd episode I’ve listened to! 🎉 Appreciated hearing Jeff’s comments about parenting and the places the mind goes when dealing with “unregulated” behaviour. Totally understand and sympathize.
I came here via Dan Harris books and podcast. Looking forward to exploring more chats. If there are any related events in Toronto, would love to know!
There will definitely be Toronto events! Jeff and I are both teachers at The Consciousness Explorers Club, and just general nerds about town :) Hope to run into you soon!

Great episode! All three practices were super useful, and the reference to sharting was the icing on the cake!
Glad to hear the practices were helpful, Ruth. Keep up the good work!
